What is a hard gainer? these are people who have a hard time gaining mass, muscle mass. They are known to be as ectomorph. “Ectomorphic body type (sometimes referred to as the “banana”) is characterized by long arms and legs and a short upper body, high forehead, slightly narrow shoulders, and supposedly have a higher proportion of nervous tissue. They also have long and thin muscles. Ectomorphs usually have a very low fat storage; therefore they are usually referred to as slim” (www.wikipedia.org). Many hardgainers had tried to hope for a body like some guys have. But then end up to discouragement. I am a hard gainer too, and i am still stuck with this skinny-type body. I have read a certain article that hardgainers has the capacity to get bigger. And you know what? i found out something great, that being a hardgainer has its advantages. Cheer up, yeah, it’s true. But take note, it really needs time. Patience is the key and a proper diet intake. As said to the aforementioned definition, “Ectomorphs usually have a very low fat storage”, meaning we don’t develop fat easy. Many body builders really have problems on maintaining their forms because of fat build ups. We need not to worry about that.
Now, how to gain muscle mass? First thing to put in mind is discipline, without it i guess you should end hoping to have what you dreamed of. Doing lifts without discipline is nothing, you are wasting your time. You need a proper diet intake (rich in protien), 8-9 hrs sleep is needed for muscle recovery, and what you need most is patience. Remember, you are a hardgainer and what you must do is focus on one area, one at a time. Don’t be too eager to shift!
