a lie

is it bad to lie?  what about white lie?  or shud it be…all lies are lies..nothing more, nothing less.

i remember someone told me, “all lies are lies because a lie cannot be the truth”.  yeah, definitely true. As they say, honesty is the best policy. But can we make an excuse of sayin it as a white lie? what is a white lie by the way? An untruth told to spare feelings or from politeness, as in She asked if I liked her dress, and of course I told a white lie. This term uses white in the sense of “harmless”. Does the example shows that its ok to lie?

A lie is a sin and no matter how we twist it or turn it upside down, a lie will always be a lie. Do you agree with that? thus sayin a thief is a thief no matter how small or how big he stole, a thief will remain a thief.
